No, actually, it's not. You have to go to [link] (fanfiction.net) and read ~wrensharpbeak's fire series to understand it... trust me, it's the most amazing piece of fanfiction literature I have ever read. It is comprised of roughly 18 episodes of avatar during season three, instead of the actual ones, and were mostly written before the said season came out. It's not quite done but it's still enough to keep you reading for about two or three days straight! And I'm a VERY fast reader!

You mean the whole story?

No no, that was just the first chapter. Then it goes on, following through a whole series of events, right up until a couple days before the comet, but then the story stops, though only temporarily, because the writer, who is also a graphic designer, lost her job and since hasn't found the time to continue. But seriously: [link] (a link to ~wrensharpbeak's profile on fanfiction- from then on you just need to select the desired chapter and start reading) it's a lot easier to follow on fanfiction.net, because deviantart really isn't meant for literature, whereas that is the purpose of fanfiction... wtvr.

I see how Long did that Take?

... well, if I add all the time up... probably about a week and a half, reading just after school and in the morning pretty much right up until I get some shut-eye.
As for the story line, it basically starts the way I already informed you, then they try to persuade Iroh to teach Aang firebending, who agrees. Of course, Azula has control of Ba Sing Se so they're going to try to get that back. First though, a bigger problem shows up: Dai Li agents to wipe out the water tribe navy who are guarding the entrance to Chameleon bay. Zuko, who has been tied up until this point in time (roughly speaking, he wasn't actually tied up very long, about a day...) offers to help. He, Toph and Sokka attack the ships, and at one point, Zuko surrenders to talk to them, and everyone else thinks that he's changes his mind again, and are quite mad. Well, Zuko persuaded the Dai Li that Azula would show them no mercy etc so they became loyal to them earth King again, (Who was with them, btw) surprising everyone.
During this time, they also intercept a letter that gives the the coming Fire Nay to dispatch the Dai Li agents. Suspicions are confirmed.
Next, a band of Fire Navy ships show up. Well, Zuko doesn't feel good about fighting his own country, so they send him back with the earth king and a group of Dai Li agents to Azula in disguise, while Aang and Iroh and Toph eventually persuade the Fire Navy ships to surrender, by wrecking the commander's ship, and surprising him.
Zuko and the Earth King and the Dai Li do succeed in catching Azula, but Mai and Ty Lee help her to escape, and tons of people are up all night looking for them, with no success.
(This is still episode 3/18)
So Azula escapes.
Next, the crew go to a meeting to do with the war where Iroh is arrested by General How for acts of War against the Earth Kingdom. Iroh must stand trial. Zuko is terrified for his Uncle. The others are not quite so worried.
Long story, Iroh is granted amnesty by the Earth King, they then move on.
They then decide to go to the Eastern Air temple to talk to the Guru, for obvious reasons which the group doesn't necessarily all know about. They are attacked and driven off by Azula, accompanied by Commander Huo (the guy who surrendered at the battle of Chameleon Bay) during all this time the commander and the princess are having a fantastic war of wits. Gaang escapes.
They start flying again, on their way to Omashu, when Iroh is taken ill. They are near a city Zuko and his Uncle used to visit to visit an old herbalist named Ru, long story, Huo's ship was damaged during the storm, and since they were chasing the Gaang, they were naturally near the same city. Lt. Jee, who now serves under commander Huo used to work on Prince Zuko's ship, and knows of Ru as well, and they have to visit him, because half the crew was taken ill in the storm. I'm still only on episode four out of eighteen here.
A very amusing little scene I'll just post for you here:

Standing in the doorway, staring with their jaws completely agape were Lieutenant Jee and Commander Huo.

The two men stared across the threshold at the scarred face before them, blinking several times while the facts of the situation registered in their stunned minds. Just as they began to recover from their shock, the door slammed shut in their faces and the sound of the bolt snapping into the lock could be heard. They looked at each other quickly.

“Was that-?” stuttered Huo.

“That was-!” exclaimed Jee at the exact same moment.

Zuko dashed across the room and grabbed Toph and Sokka by the shoulders.
“We have to go NOW!” he hissed in near panic, pushing them towards the back room.
